Universal Studios Hollywood is divided into two different areas, linked by escalators. These areas are the Upper Lot and Lower Lot. Since 2016, Universal Studios Hollywood features nine rides, seven shows, and a huge play area outside. Each lot includes an assortment of rides, shows and attractions together with food, drinks, and a variety of retail establishments.

The Upper Lot hosts many different family-oriented attractions. It is home to several shows like Universal’s Animal Actors Show, the Special Effects Stage, Water World: A Live Sea War Spectacular and Shrek 4-D, a 3-D film which features even bigger features.

The Lower Lot is smaller. There are three thrill rides at this section of the park and each has height restrictions. It is home to Jurassic Park: The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, where E.T. Adventure once stood and more recently the home to Transformers: The Ride.

Universal CityWalk

Located directly alongside Universal Studios Hollywood is Universal CityWalk Hollywood, a 3-block entertainment, dining and shopping promenade with live music, movies, clubs, delicious food and always something new to discover. There are over 30 eateries, 3 nightclubs, 19 theaters with state of the art IMAX® and over 30 exclusive shops. It’s LA’s most desired destination to spend a day or evening.

Universal Studios Hollywood is 10 miles to Los Angeles Convention Center and 34 miles to Port of Los Angeles.
